Jose María De la Puente

José María de la Puente is a Visual Effects and Animation producer with extensive experience in film and television. He has developed his career mainly between the United Kingdom and Canada, where he has participated in titles of international reputation such as DUNE[/i] or [i]Justice League[/i].

With more than 15 years of experience in production, he began his career producing animation in films such as [i]Planet 51[/i] or [i]Metegol (Football).[/i]

In 2014, he made the leap to VFX and moved to London where he worked in renowned studios such as DNEG and MPC, and participated in titles such as[i]Assassin's Creed[/i] or[i]The Jungle Book[/i], which won the[i]Oscar[/i] for[i]Best[/i] [i]Effects Visuals[/i] in 2017.

He returned to work in animation at the prestigious [i]Klaus[/i] and moved to Vancouver, Canada. where he has collaborated on projects such as [i]Ant-Man and the Wasp, The Unbearable Weight of an Enormous Talent, Venom[/i] or [i]DUNE[/i], a film for which he won his second [i]Oscar[/i] for [i]Best Visual Effects in 2022, the first in his role as VFX Producer.

José; María is a multidisciplinary producer, with experience also in virtual production and video games with teaching experience. He also combines his career as a producer with his passion for short filmmaking. His work "M_i lucha_" has won more than 20 international awards and was selected for the final round of the 2012 Oscars.
